The Regular Season in SBL is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Top ranked Taiwan Beer (20-12) recorded its twelfth loss against seventh ranked Bank of Taiwan on Sunday night. Bank of Taiwan were defeated by seventh ranked Bank of Taiwan (8-24) 85-80. Bank of Taiwan looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Dominican forward Angel Nunez (203-91, college: S.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. International guard Yu-Jui Chen (185-95) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian swingman Edvinas Seskus (196-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bank of Taiwan maintains seventh place with 8-24 record. Taiwan Beer at the other side still keeps top position with 12 games lost. Bank of Taiwan are looking forward to face higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#5) in Taipei in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taiwan Beer will play on the road against Dacin Tigers (#5) in Taipei and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a loss of third ranked KKL (17-14) against seventh ranked Bank of Taiwan (8-24) on Wednesday night. KKL was defeated by Bank of Taiwan 90-73. It was a good game for American-Dominican forward Angel Nunez (203-91, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Yu-Jui Chen contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 23 rebounds for KKL. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bank of Taiwan maintains seventh place with 8-24 record. KKL at the other side keeps the third position with 14 games lost. Bank of Taiwan will play against higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#5) in Taipei in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KKL will play against the league's second-placed Fubon Braves where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Pauian. It was a great evening for Tony Mitchell who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. The best for the losing side was Kyle Meyer with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-12 record behind leader Taiwan Beer. Defending champion Pauian keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. Fubon Braves will meet Yulon Luxgen (#6) in the next round. Pauian will play against Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 15 Dacin Tigers were defeated by Pauian 88-83.

An exciting game was when second ranked Second ranked Fubon Braves faced 4th placed Pauian. Fubon Braves (19-12) defeated Pauian (17-15) 93-84. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Pauian. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Pauian's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fubon Braves made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) helped adding 18 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American center Kyle Meyer (208-93, college: Houston) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Orlando Johnson (196-89, college: UCSB) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Dacin Tigers' (15-16) loss to fourth ranked Pauian (17-15) 83-88. Strangely Dacin Tigers outrebounded Pauian 50-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Pauian brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for center Kyle Meyer (208-93, college: Houston) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Orlando Johnson (196-89, college: UCSB) accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Pauian players scored in double figures. Center Anthony McClain (211-88, college: Cincinnati) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds and guard OJ Mayo (193-87, college: USC) added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Dacin Tigers in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Pauian. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 17-15 record. Dacin Tigers at the other side keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. Pauian's next round opponent will be Yulon Luxgen (#6).
