There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The biggest surprise took place when Bank of Taiwan (6-20) beat league's leader KKL (16-11) 98-89 on Friday evening. The best player for the winners was American-Dominican forward Angel Nunez (203-91, college: S.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists. International guard Bo-Sheng Zhang (185-87) chipped in 21 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bank of Taiwan maintains seventh position with 6-20 record. KKL lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with 11 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Taiwan Beer. KKL will play next round against strong Fubon Braves trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Bank of Taiwan will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Taiwan Beer on the road.
The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of KKL (16-11) against second ranked Taiwan Beer. Taiwan Beer were defeated by Taiwan Beer (16-10) 85-67. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a good game for Lithuanian swingman Edvinas Seskus (196-95) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Igor Zaytsev contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds for KKL. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Taiwan Beer keeps a position of league leader. KKL lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with 11 games lost. Taiwan Beer will play against bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. KKL will play against Fubon Braves (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game was the one between Dacin Tigers and Fubon Braves. Fifth ranked Dacin Tigers (13-12) got a very close victory over 3rd ranked Fubon Braves (14-11). Dacin Tigers managed to escape with a 2-point win 83-81 on Saturday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of OJ Mayo who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Charles Garcia with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Dacin Tigers maintains fifth position with 13-12 record. Fubon Braves at the other side keep the third place with 11 games lost. Dacin Tigers will meet Pauian (#6) in the next round. Fubon Braves will play against the league's second-placed KKL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Fubon Braves will face league's second-placed KKL in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiwan Beer will play against Bank of Taiwan and hope to win that game.

Rest of the games of round 12 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Pauian was defeated by Yulon Luxgen 84-79. Pauian smashed Bank of Taiwan 95-71. Dacin Tigers won against Yulon Luxgen 82-75.
The best stats of 12th round was 24 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists by Sani Sakakini of Yulon Luxgen.



Pauian - Dacin Tigers 82-80

A very interesting game ended with only two-point defeat of 5th ranked Dacin Tigers (13-12) to sixth ranked Pauian (12-14) 82-80 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dacin Tigers. Pauian players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by swingman Orlando Johnson (196-89, college: UCSB) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and center Kyle Meyer (208-93, college: Houston) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Even 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by guard OJ Mayo (193-87, college: USC) did not help to save the game for Dacin Tigers. Center Anthony McClain (211-88, college: Cincinnati) added 14 points and 17 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 12-14 record. Dacin Tigers at the other side keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. Pauian's next round opponent will be again higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#5) in Taipei and it may be quite challenging game. Dacin Tigers will play against Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fubon Braves made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) who scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and international Hung-Han Huang (190-94) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves maintains third position with 14-11 record having just three points less than leader Taiwan Beer. There was no surprise when 6th ranked Pauian (12-14) was defeated by fourth ranked Yulon Luxgen (14-13) 84-79 on Friday. Yulon Luxgen made 29-of-31 free shots (93.5 percent) during the game, while Pauian only scored twelve points from the stripe. Pauian was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) who scored 31 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) chipped in 24 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was American center Kyle Meyer (208-93, college: Houston) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Orlando Johnson (196-89, college: UCSB) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively.
