There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked KKL (16-9) against second ranked Taiwan Beer on Saturday night. Taiwan Beer were defeated by Taiwan Beer 92-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of KKL. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. They outrebounded KKL 34-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Taiwan Beer looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. International Po-Hsun Chou (197-91) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taiwan Beer have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-9 record behind leader KKL. KKL at the other side still keeps top position with nine games lost. Taiwan Beer are again looking forward to face league's leader KKL in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KKL will play against Bank of Taiwan and is hoping to win this game.

They stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. KKL will play against league's second-placed Taiwan Beer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bank of Taiwan will play against Pauian (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kyle Meyer produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assistsfor Bank of Taiwan. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Bank of Taiwan maintains seventh place with 5-19 record. Defending champion Pauian keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Bank of Taiwan will meet league's leader KKL in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pauian will play again against Bank of Taiwan (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very interesting game ended with only two-point defeat of 4th placed Yulon Luxgen (13-12) to fifth ranked Dacin Tigers (11-11) 89-87 on Saturday evening. OJ Mayo orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Dacin Tigers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Dacin Tigers maintains fifth place with 11-11 record. Yulon Luxgen lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. Dacin Tigers' next round opponent will be higher ranked Fubon Braves (#3) and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yulon Luxgen will play again against Dacin Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a loss of third ranked Fubon Braves (13-10) against fourth ranked Yulon Luxgen (13-12) on Sunday night. Fubon Braves were crushed by Yulon Luxgen 105-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fubon Braves. It was a great evening for Kai-Hsiang Hu who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Fubon Braves' coach Chin-Tse Hsu gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Yulon Luxgen maintains fourth place with 13-12 record. Loser Fubon Braves keep the third position with ten games lost. Yulon Luxgen will face Dacin Tigers (#5) in Taipei in the next round. Fubon Braves will play on the road against Dacin Tigers in Taipei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 11: Yulon Luxgen lost to Pauian 83-89. Dacin Tigers was outscored by Taiwan Beer 91-112. Fubon Braves managed to beat Bank of Taiwan 97-92.



Pauian - Yulon Luxgen 89-83

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Yulon Luxgen (13-12) was defeated by sixth ranked Pauian (10-13) 89-83 on Thursday. Pauian looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for swingman Orlando Johnson (196-89, college: UCSB) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. Center Kyle Meyer (208-93, college: Houston) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Pauian players scored in double figures. Power forward Antwan Space (206-93, college: Massachusetts, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 10-13 record. Yulon Luxgen lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. Pauian will face bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#7) in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against Dacin Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

GARRET SILER Guaiqueries de Margarita (LPB) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old American center Garret Siler (213-127kg-86, college: Augusta).
