The most exciting game of round 10 in the SBL ended with only two-point defeat of higher ranked Yulon Luxgen (12-10) to seventh ranked Bank of Taiwan (4-17) 90-88 on Thursday evening. Strangely Yulon Luxgen outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 48-32 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bank of Taiwan made 10 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Bo-Sheng Zhang (185-87) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. Tsung-Lin Lu (175-94) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American power forward Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists for Yulon Luxgen. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bank of Taiwan maintains seventh position with 4-17 record. Yulon Luxgen at the other side dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost. Bank of Taiwan are looking forward to face higher ranked Pauian (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Very important is a loss of third ranked Yulon Luxgen (12-10) against fourth ranked Fubon Braves (12-9) on Sunday night. Yulon Luxgen was defeated by Fubon Braves in a tough game 83-88. Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Wei-Che Lin chipped in 15 points and 11 assists during the contest. Fubon Braves' coach Chin-Tse Hsu allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Fubon Braves moved-up to third place. Yulon Luxgen at the other side dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Fubon Braves will play against bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#7) in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play again against Fubon Braves and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fubon Braves. OJ Mayo notched 32 points and 4 assists to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Tony Mitchell did not help to save the game for Fubon Braves. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dacin Tigers have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Dacin Tigers went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Fubon Braves dropped to the third place with nine games lost. Dacin Tigers will meet higher ranked Yulon Luxgen (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fubon Braves will play against Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for KKL (15-8) which played against 4th ranked Dacin Tigers (10-10). First ranked KKL managed to get a 14-point victory 96-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dacin Tigers. Walter Sharpe fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dacin Tigers' coach rotated twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. KKL maintains first position with 15-8 record. Dacin Tigers at the other side dropped to the fifth place with ten games lost. KKL's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Taiwan Beer and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dacin Tigers will play against Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
SBL top team - KKL (15-8) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Pauian (9-12) 91-77. It was a very good performance for Walter Sharpe who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. KKL maintains first position with 15-8 record. Pauian lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. KKL will face league's second-placed Taiwan Beer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pauian will play against Bank of Taiwan (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games in round 10 were not that significant. Taiwan Beer beat Pauian 85-78. Fubon Braves won against Pauian 81-77. Bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan unfortunately lost to Taiwan Beer 84-88.

Four Dacin Tigers players scored in double figures.
