The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Fifth defeat of league's leader KKL (10-5) against sixth ranked Dacin Tigers (6-8) 92-89 was the most important game of the last round. Dacin Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dacin Tigers made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Anthony McClain (211-88, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks. His fellow American import guard OJ Mayo (193-87, college: USC) contributed with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dacin Tigers' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for KKL. Dacin Tigers moved-up to fifth place. KKL at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Taiwan Beer who have the same record. KKL will play next round against Bank of Taiwan trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Dacin Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Yulon Luxgen on the road.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Taiwan Beer as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (KKL) loss. Taiwan Beer edged 5th ranked Pauian at home 90-88. It was a great evening for international Po-Hsun Chou (197-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. Yu-An Chang helped adding 25 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American center Kyle Meyer (208-93, college: Houston) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Taiwan Beer (10-5) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with KKL. Defending champion Pauian dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. Pauian will play next round against Bank of Taiwan trying to get back on the winning streak. Taiwan Beer will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Pauian at home.

It was an exceptional evening for Sani Sakakini who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Angel Nunez came up with 27 points and 6 rebounds for KKL in the defeat. KKL's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Yulon Luxgen maintains third place with 10-6 record having just one point less than leader Taiwan Beer. Loser KKL still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Taiwan Beer. Yulon Luxgen will meet Dacin Tigers (#5) in the next round. KKL will play against Bank of Taiwan (#7) and hope to secure a win.

The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Taiwan Beer. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with KKL. Dacin Tigers lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. Taiwan Beer's next round opponent will be Pauian (#6) which should be theoretically an easy game. Dacin Tigers will play against Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a very good performance for Charles Garcia who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Fubon Braves' coach Chin-Tse Hsu used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Fubon Braves maintains fourth place with 7-7 record. Bank of Taiwan lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Fubon Braves will face league's leader Taiwan Beer in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bank of Taiwan will play against the league's second-placed KKL (#2) and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 7 bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan was beaten by Yulon Luxgen 106-98.



Yulon Luxgen - Bank of Taiwan 106-98

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Yulon Luxgen (10-6) beat bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (3-12) 106-98 on Friday. Yulon Luxgen looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a very good performance for the former international point guard Wei-Han Lin (178-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 assists. Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American center Greg Smith (208-91, college: Fresno St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and international guard Bo-Sheng Zhang (185-87) added 27 points in the effort for Bank of Taiwan. Five Yulon Luxgen and four Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yulon Luxgen maintains third place with 10-6 record having just one point less than leader Taiwan Beer. Bank of Taiwan lost their eighth game in a row. Dacin Tigers - Taiwan Beer 100-108

The game in Taipei was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Taiwan Beer (10-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Dacin Tigers (6-8). Taiwan Beer managed to secure a 8-point victory 108-100. Taiwan Beer made 26-of-29 charity shots (89.7 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Dacin Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89) fired 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Lithuanian swingman Edvinas Seskus (196-95) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard OJ Mayo (193-87, college: USC) produced 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) and international guard I-Chieh Su (182-87) added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Five Taiwan Beer and four Dacin Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. It was a very good performance for Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) contributed with 17 points, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures.
