PARIS BASS

American Paris Bass (203-G/F-95) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for KKL and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 23-year old swingman had a double-double of 28 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team beat Pauian (#7, 1-5) 94-80. KKL maintains the 3rd position in Taiwanese SBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. KKL will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Bass had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be KKL's top player in his first season with the team. University of Detroit Mercy graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bass is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.2ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.7rpg) and averages solid 2.7spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American center Anthony McClain (211-C-88) of Dacin Tigers. McClain impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 19 rebounds. It was enough for Dacin Tigers to edge Bank of Taiwan (2-3) by 6 points 83-77. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. McClain is a newcomer at Dacin Tigers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#9). He also registered 14.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Emanuel Jones (200-F-85) of Pauian (#7). Jones got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and four assists. Despite Jones' great performance Pauian lost 80-94 to KKL (#3, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Pauian can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-5 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Jones he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Jones has individually a great season in Taiwan. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 8.0rpg (9th best). Jones attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Terry Thomas (193-G/F-91) of Yulon Luxgen - 37 points and 9 rebounds
5. Greg Smith (208-C-91) of Bank of Taiwan - 19 points and 19 rebounds
6. Huan-Ya Yu (183-G-93) of KKL - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Wei-Che Lin (182-G-92) of Fubon Braves - 40 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
8. O.J. Mayo (193-G-87) of Dacin Tigers - 39 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Tony Mitchell (203-F-92) of Fubon Braves - 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Walter Sharpe (206-F/C-86) of KKL - 22 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
