There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in SBL. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Taiwan Beer smashed Bank of Taiwan at home 103-59. Taiwan Beer dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bank of Taiwan's 26. They outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 52-34 including a 40-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Taiwan Beer looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Bank of Taiwan's players. Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and international Hung-Han Huang (190-94) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American center Greg Smith (208-91, college: Fresno St.) responded with 9 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bank of Taiwan will play next round against Dacin Tigers trying to get back on the winning streak. Taiwan Beer will try to continue on its current victory against Fubon Braves at home.
Very significant was Pauian's (#6) 28-point victory against Dacin Tigers 105-77. American forward Emanuel Jones (200-85, college: UTRGV) notched 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Michael Holyfield supported him with 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by American center Anthony McClain (211-88, college: Cincinnati) did not help to save the game for Dacin Tigers. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pauian will play against KKL (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dacin Tigers will play against Bank of Taiwan (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Quite upsetting was Fubon Braves' (#2) 15-point home defeat in a game versus KKL 76-61. The best player for the winners was Paris Bass who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Wei-Che Lin produced 13 points and 5 assistsfor KKL. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KKL will meet Pauian (#6) in the next round. Fubon Braves will play against Taiwan Beer and hope to secure a win.
Very important is a loss of Fubon Braves (2-2) against Bank of Taiwan (1-2) on Friday night. Fubon Braves were defeated by Bank of Taiwan in a tough game 89-94. Greg Smith orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Bank of Taiwan's next round opponent will be Dacin Tigers (#7) in Taipei. Fubon Braves will play against Taiwan Beer and hope to win that game.
The game in was also quite interesting. Yulon Luxgen (3-1) played at the court of Pauian (1-3). Yulon Luxgen managed to secure a 4-point victory 83-79 on Saturday. Sani Sakakini had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Yulon Luxgen will face Bank of Taiwan (#5) in the next round. Pauian will play against KKL and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 2: winless Dacin Tigers lost to Yulon Luxgen 63-73. Pauian lost to undefeated Taiwan Beer 84-93. KKL rolled over Dacin Tigers 77-55.

Dacin Tigers - Pauian 77-105

Very significant was Pauian's (#6) 28-point victory against Dacin Tigers 105-77. Pauian dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Dacin Tigers' 46. They outrebounded Dacin Tigers 53-32 including a 39-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pauian players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Dacin Tigers' players. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. American forward Emanuel Jones (200-85, college: UTRGV) notched 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import center Michael Holyfield (211-92, college: Sam Houston St.) supported him with 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by American center Anthony McClain (211-88, college: Cincinnati) did not help to save the game for Dacin Tigers. The former international forward Yi-Hui Lin (193-86) added 11 points for Pauian. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
