M.J. RHETT

Defending champion Pauian (SBL) added to their roster 25-year old American (has also Dominican passport) power forward M.J. Rhett (206-107kg-92, college: Mississippi). He played last summer at Leones de Santo Domingo in LNB league in Dominican Republic. In 15 games he was second best scorer with impressive 17.5ppg and had 7.7rpg (#5 in the league) and 2.5apg. Rhett helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Rep. LNB Forward of the Year and voted to 1st Team. The last season he played at Flamengo (NBB) in league where in 32 games he recorded 5.8ppg and 3.1rpg. Rhett contributed to his team winning the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as he was voted to Brazilian All-Star Game.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Dominican Rep. LNB championship title in 2016.
Rhett is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in six different countries. Rhett has played previously professionally in France (Cholet Basket), Italy, Kosovo (Prishtina), Latvia (Barons Riga), Lebanon (Tadamon) and Philippines (Blackwater Elite).
He attended University of Mississippi until 2015 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
