ERRON MAXEY

Formosa Dreamers (ASEAN League) re-signed experienced 39-year old American forward Erron Maxey (198-100kg-78, college: Providence). He was a team leader there last season. In only one ASEAN League game he had very impressive stats: 34 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Maxey also played for GIE Maile Matrix in U.S. semi-pro league UBA.

Among other achievements he led the Matrix to the 2017 Cop Mitchell Cup title. Maxey received also LatinBasket.com All-Mitchell Cup Player of the Year award in 2017.

He is a very experienced player. Maxey has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to twelve different countries on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Maxey has played previously professionally in Argentina (Quimsa), Australia (Toowoomba Mountaineers), Chile, China (Song Dynasty Team), Colombia, Finland, Hungary, Japan, Mexico (Santos), New Zealand, Puerto Rico and Uruguay (Union Atletica, Bohemios and Nacional).

It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Formosa Dreamers.

Maxey attended Providence College until 2001 and it will be his 18th (!!!) season in pro basketball.

His game is described as: All-around outstanding athlete with a good outside shot and great moves to the hoop...Strong rebounder who uses his outstanding leaping ability to beat bigger players to the hoop...Has great quickness and basketball skills.

Erron is an extremely athletic and hard working small forward who can knock down the open perimeter jumpshot as well as take his man off the dribble. Erron has tremendous moves to the hoop and utilizes his amazing jumping ability and quickness to beat his man to the rim. Erron is unique in that he is also able to dominate bigger players in the post when needed. At Providence College, one of the top basketball teams in the prestigious Big East Conference, Erron excelled while being forced to play out of position at the power forward spot. Erron's natural skills are well suited for the small forward spot where Erron's ceaseless work ethic, unparalleled athleticism and versatility make him perfectly suited for the NBA where he will excel as a small forward.
