There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in SBL. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Pauian (16-10) against fourth ranked KKL on Saturday night. KKL were defeated by fourth ranked KKL (14-13) 94-80. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Pauian. KKL dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Pauian's 38 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Pauian 44-27 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Yi-Jin Su (195-93) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international forward Douglas Creighton (196-85, college: Madonna) answered with 30 points and 5 rebounds for Pauian. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KKL maintains fourth place with 14-13 record. Pauian at the other side still keeps top position with ten games lost. KKL are looking forward to face Bank of Taiwan (#6) in the next round. Pauian will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Fubon Braves will play against higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#3) in Taipei in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yulon Luxgen will play against the league's leader Pauian and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Taiwan Beer maintains seventh place with 10-17 record. Loser Fubon Braves keep the fifth position with 14 games lost. Taiwan Beer will meet league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fubon Braves will play against Dacin Tigers in Taipei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Bank of Taiwan's coach let to play eleven players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains third place with 15-12 record behind leader Pauian. Bank of Taiwan will play against KKL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



Taiwan Beer - Fubon Braves 79-74

Bottom-ranked Taiwan Beer managed to get a tenth victory on Sunday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked Fubon Braves 79-74. Taiwan Beer forced 22 Fubon Braves turnovers. Strangely Fubon Braves outrebounded Taiwan Beer 45-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Taiwan Beer made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks. International guard Huan-Ya Yu (183-93) accounted for 12 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Fubon Braves in the defeat. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Fubon Braves' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Taiwan Beer maintains seventh place with 10-17 record. Dacin Tigers had a 37-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 30 rebounds. International guard Yi-Jie Su (182-87) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) produced 29 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Wei-Che Lee (179-91) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectivelyfor Dacin Tigers. Angel Nunez (203-F-91) had a very impressive game in the last round for Bank of Taiwan and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 15.
