The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 21 in the SBL ended with only three-point defeat of 4th placed Dacin Tigers (12-12) to sixth ranked Bank of Taiwan (10-14) 74-71 on Sunday evening. Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 22 rebounds for the winners and forward Guan-Ting Lu (197-92) chipped in 13 points. Bank of Taiwan's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 27 rebounds. Bank of Taiwan maintains sixth place with 10-14 record. Defending champion Dacin Tigers keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. Bank of Taiwan are looking forward to face league's leader Pauian in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dacin Tigers will play against Taiwan Beer and are hoping to win this game.
Very important is a loss of second ranked Yulon Luxgen (14-9) against seventh ranked Taiwan Beer (9-16) on Sunday night. Yulon Luxgen was defeated by Taiwan Beer in a tough game 61-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Yulon Luxgen. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Tsung-Han Huang accounted for 7 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds for Yulon Luxgen in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taiwan Beer maintains seventh place with 9-16 record. Yulon Luxgen at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. Taiwan Beer will play against higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#4) in Taipei in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yulon Luxgen will play against KKL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very significant was Pauian's (#2, 15-9) victory against 3rd placed KKL (13-12) 86-79. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of KKL. The best player for the winners was Quincy Davis who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Peter Ramos who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pauian have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Loser KKL keeps the third place with 12 games lost. Pauian will meet Bank of Taiwan (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KKL will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Taiwan Beer managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against fifth-ranked Fubon Braves 78-72. It was a good game for Walter Sharpe who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Taiwan Beer maintains seventh place with 9-16 record. Fubon Braves lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Taiwan Beer's next round opponent will be higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#4) in Taipei and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fubon Braves will play on the road against Dacin Tigers in Taipei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most impressive stats of the last round was 9 points and 14 rebounds by Luke Nevill of Yulon Luxgen.



Yulon Luxgen - Taiwan Beer 61-66
