The most exciting game of round 20 in the SBL ended with only one-point defeat of 5th ranked Fubon Braves (11-11) to third ranked KKL (13-11) 80-79 on Friday evening. American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Jia-Qing Li (190-82) contributed with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-87, college: BYU-Hawaii) replied with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for Fubon Braves. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KKL have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-11 record behind leader Yulon Luxgen. Fubon Braves lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. KKL are looking forward to face league's second-placed Pauian in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fubon Braves will play against Taiwan Beer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Seventh-ranked Taiwan Beer (7-16) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Dacin Tigers (12-11) in Taipei. Dacin Tigers managed to secure only three-point victory 93-90. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Yi-Jie Su (182-87) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and Sim Bhullar who added 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) during the contest. Dacin Tigers' coach Chih-Chao Hsu allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Taiwan Beer at the other side stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Dacin Tigers will play against Bank of Taiwan (#6) in the next round. Taiwan Beer will play against the league's leader Yulon Luxgen and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Pauian's next round opponent will be KKL (#3), which may be the game of the day. Bank of Taiwan will play against Dacin Tigers in Taipei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



Bank of Taiwan - Yulon Luxgen 65-71

It was a great shooting night for Pauian especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Angel Nunez (203-F-91) had a very impressive game in the last round for Bank of Taiwan and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 15.
