Central African-American Patrick O'Bryant (213-C-86) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Taiwan Beer and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 28-year old center had a double-double of 42 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team crushed Yulon Luxgen (#5, 9-14) with 16-point margin 83-67. Taiwan Beer maintains the 3rd position in Taiwanese SBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Taiwan Beer will need more victories to improve their 13-10 record. In the team's last game O'Bryant had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Taiwan Beer's top player in his first season with the team. Bradley University graduate has very impressive stats this year. O'Bryant is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 13.4rpg), assists (9th best: 2.2apg) and averages solid 1.7bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American power forward Darian Townes (208-F/C-84) of second-ranked Taiwan Mobile. Townes impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 25 rebounds. Bad luck as Taiwan Mobile lost that game 59-64 to the lower-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#6, 8-14). Taiwan Mobile managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. His team's 16-7 record is not bad at all. Townes is a newcomer at Taiwan Mobile and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.6ppg (#2). He also registered 17.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Bryan Davis (206-F/C-86) of KKL (#4). Davis showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. Despite Davis' great performance KKL lost 76-80 to #3 ranked Taiwan Beer. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of KKL ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Davis could help KKL to bring them higher in the standings. Davis has a great season in Taiwan. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.8ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 15.1rpg (3rd best) and assists with 2.9apg (3rd best). He also has 2.5spg and 1.4bpg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. James Tyler (218-C-88) of Bank of Taiwan - 15 points, 19 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Kuan-Chuan Chen (197-C/F-93) of KKL - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Boxun Zhou (197-PF-91) of Taiwan Beer - 6 points and 11 rebounds
7. Yi-Tsung Chu (186-F-86) of Dacin Tigers - 11 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Garret Siler (213-C-86) of Pure Youth - 17 points and 8 rebounds
9. Derrick Caracter (206-C-88) of Yulon Luxgen - 21 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
