Cathay Life celebrate WSBL title - May 1, 2014

Cathay Life earned the WSBL title. They swept the title series versus Chunghwa Telecom. The decisive second victory came on the road 77:67. Chun-Yi Liu (180-F/C-81) scored 21 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and issued 5 assists for the winners.
Chunghwa Telecom grabbed a 20:15 lead after the opening quarter. But Cathay Life responded with a strong 26:14 rally in the second frame to take a 41:34 halftime lead. Cathay Life maintained the lead throughout the third term. They entered the fourth quarter up by 9 points 58:49. Cathay Life kept the hosts at bay throughout the fourth frame and rallied to the title. Lan Jui-Yu (170-G-83) added 15 points, while Cheng Hui-Yun (186-F/C-77) had 13 points in the victory. Hsu Chien-Hui (171-G/F-89), Liu Jia-Wei (175-F-88) and Huang Hong-Ying (165-G-89) netted 14 points apiece for Chunghwa Telecom.
