Cathay Life earn WSBL title - Apr 14, 2011 Cathay Life are back in the limelight in WSBL. The most renowned team in the country clinched the title this season. They prevailed against Taiyuan Textile in the championship series. The decisive victory came on Tuesday when Cathay Life came out victorious 72:65 away from home. Cheng Hui-Yun (186-F/C-77) delivered 21 points and 9 rebounds to pace Cathay Life. Taiyan earned a narrow 18:17 lead after ten minutes but the visitors gradually took over. They surged ahead for a 40:34 halftime lead. Taiyuan Textile managed to narrow the deficit to just two points with one quarter remaining but Cathay Life stopped the rot and outgunned the hosts in the fourth quarter to celebrate title. Qian Wei-Juan (G) knocked down 12 points in the victory. Taiyan Textile were paced by impressive 30-point, 9-board and 4-assist tally from Liu Chun-Yi (180-F/C-81).
