Homs al-Fidaa secure dominant victory over al-Hurriya

Homs al-Fidaa secured a 91–67 victory over al-Hurriya on Monday at the Ghazwan Abu Zeid Hall in Homs, in the fifth round of the second stage of the Syrian Basketball League. The game started slowly for both teams before Homs al-Fidaa took control after the first five minutes, finishing the first quarter 21–14. In the second quarter, they maintained both offensive and defensive dominance, leading 47–34 at halftime, while al-Hurriya relied heavily on its foreign players for scoring. After the break, Homs al-Fidaa extended their lead to 76–49 in the third quarter, continuing to control both ends of the court and sealing a convincing win. The first-leg match between the two sides had also ended in favour of Homs al-Fidaa, with a final score of 80–69. The result lifts Homs al-Fidaa to 22 points at the top of the standings, while al-Hurriya remain on 15 points in eighth place.
