Mitchell Smith (ex Taiwan Beer L.) signs at Al Wahda

Defending champion Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) signed Mitchell Smith, a 28-year-old American 208cm power forward from Missouri, represented by LHZ Sport Agency. Smith, who last played for Taiwan Beer Leopards in Taiwanese TPBL, averaged 6.8ppg, 6.4rpg, 2.2apg, and 1.6bpg in 5 games during the last season.
He is a very experienced player. Smith has played professionally in Finland (Korihait), Greece (Karditsas), Hungary (Zalakeramia ZTE KK), Sweden (Norrkoping), and The Basketball Tournament (Team AboutBillions).
Among many awards, his team made it to the Hungarian League Semifinals in 2023. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com Hungarian League All-Imports Team back in 2023.
Smith graduated from the University of Missouri in 2021, and this will be his fifth season in professional basketball.
