Makhtar Gueye (ex UniFacisa) joins Al Ittihad

Makhtar Gueye

Al Ittihad Ahli of Aleppo (SBL) has added 29-year-old Senegalese international power forward Makhtar Gueye (208cm-95kg-1997, college: CBU) to their roster. He began the season at UniFacisa in the Brazilian NBB league, where he averaged 7.6ppg and 4.3rpg in 7 games. Last summer, he played for ASC Ville de Dakar (N1M) in Senegal. Gueye has been a regular member of the Senegalese Senior National Team since 2019.
Gueye is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in seven different countries across three continents. He has played in France (Laval), Spain (Menorca), Burundi (Dynamo), Mozambique (Ferroviario Beira), the NBA Summer League (Atlanta Hawks), and Cameroon (Kadji Sport Academy Douala). He has experienced life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Africa, and North America.
He won the Senegalese League championship title in 2025.
Gueye graduated from California Baptist University in 2021 and is in his fifth season as a professional player. He also played for the University of Alabama at Birmingham for 3 years.
