Al Hurriyeh Aleppo (SBL) added experienced 34-year-old USA-Nigerian 194cm guard Mike Balogun (college: Arkansas Tech) to their roster. He started the season at Kriol Star in the Cape Verdean Praia League. Last season, he played at U.S. Monastir (ProA) in the Tunisian league.
Thanks to Balogun's pro career, he has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America) in nine different countries. Balogun has played professionally in Cyprus (Paralimni), Estonia (Tallinn Kalev), Georgia (Kavkasia), Greece (Ifaistos), Qatar (Al Ahli Sports Club Doha), Romania (Politehnica Iasi), Spain (Alicante), Tunisia, and Libya (Shabab).
Among many awards, his team won the Tunisian Cup in 2025. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Georgian A-League Honorable Mention back in 2022.
Balogun graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 2015 and is currently in his eleventh season in pro basketball. He also played for Southern Illinois University for one year.
