Coach Petar Aleksic (ex FMP BG) agreed terms with Al Wahda

Petar Aleksic

The defending champion Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) will be led by the experienced 58-year-old Swiss-Serbian coach Petar Aleksic for rest of season 2025/202. He most recently coached at KK FMP SoccerBet Beograd in the Serbian league.
He coached the Swiss Senior National Team between 2013 and 2016 and also coached the Under 20 National Team in 2012.
Aleksic has coached in Austria (Feldkirch), Bosnia, Germany, Greece (Iraklis), Hungary, and Switzerland (Fribourg and Monthey-Chablais).
Among many awards, his team made it to the Swiss final in 2024. He was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Swiss SBL Co-Coach of the Year back in 2020.
