Al Jaish inks Andree Michelsson

Andree Michelsson

Al Jaish Damascus (SBL) signed 28-year-old Syrian-Swedish international guard Andree Michelsson (188cm-85kg-1997). He just played for the Syrian National Team in the Syrian league. He has been regularly called up to the Syrian Senior National Team since 2023.
Michelsson is a very experienced player. He has played in Germany (Rendsburg), Iceland (Hottur, Snaefell, and Sindri), Italy (Icobit Italia Magic Basket Chieti), Sweden (Malbas), Syria (Al Ittihad), and Ireland (Warriors).
Michelsson's team reached the Icelandic Division I Playoff Semifinals in 2019. He was named Eurobasket.com All-German Regionalliga North European Player of the Year in 2022.
