Defending champion Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) tabbed 33-year old Puerto Rican-American ex-international 196cm swingman Carlos Emory for new season. Emory played this summer at Piratas de Quebradillas in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 40 games just recently he averaged 10.1ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.5apg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Emory also played for Piratas (BSN). He contributed to his team ending the regular season as at the second position in the league. Emory was a member of Puerto Rican Senior National Team back in 2013.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in seven different countries playing on three different continents. Emory is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in France (Sluc Nancy), Lebanon, Lithuania (Lietkabelis), Uruguay (Bohemios), Puerto Rico (Leones, Santeros and Mets), Nicaragua (Indigenas) and MBL (Bulldogs). Emory won Puerto Rican League championship title in 2014, 2015 and 2019. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican League Honorable Mention back in 2016 and 2022.
