David Hermes commits to Roadrunners

The University of Texas San Antonio agreed terms with Syrian-Swedish international forward David Hermes (6'10''-224lbs) for the new 2024-25 season. The Stockholm native played for the last two years at Indian Hills Community College (NJCAA). In 29 games last season, he had 6.1ppg and 3.7rpg. His team won NJCAA D1 Region XI and NJCAA D1 North Central District Championships in 2024. The Warriors also won the ICCAC D1 Championship for the last two seasons. He helped his team make it to the NJCAA D1 North Central District Semifinals and NJCAA D1 Region XI Finals in 2023. He helped his team make it to the NJCAA Division I Final Four in two last consecutive years.
Hermes played at Ciudad de Huelva Baloncesto in 2022. His team ended the regular season as the second-best team in the Spanish EBA Group D-B that year.
He graduated from Central Pointe Christian Academy (Kissimmee, FL) in 2021. Hermes has been regularly called to the Syrian Senior National Team since 2021.
