PeKa inks Randi Brown

Randi Brown

Kotka Peli-Karhut, a team in the Korisliiga, has signed Randi Brown, a 27-year-old Syrian-American ex-international guard. Brown, who stands at 173cm and was born in 1996, previously played for Barsy Atyrau in the Kazakhstan D1 league. In her four games with Barsy Atyrau, she had impressive statistics, averaging 32.3 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game. Brown also represented the Syrian Senior National Team in 2021.
She's a highly experienced player, having played in five different countries across three continents: Europe, Africa, and North America. Her previous professional stints include Greece (Giannena), Iceland (Haukar), Finland (HyPo), and Egypt (Al Zamalek).
Her team won the Finnish League Regular Season in 2019, earning her team numerous awards. In 2020, she was voted to the Eurobasket.com Icelandic League All-Imports Team.
She graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2018, and this is her sixth season as a professional player.
