Coincidentally all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Barada (2-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Al Thawra (2-1) 61-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Barada. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Barada. Al Thawra is looking forward to face Yarmouk (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Barada will play against the league's leader Hutteen (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Al Sahel (0-4) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to top-ranked Hutteen (3-0) 55-33. Hutteen have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Al Sahel at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Hutteen will play against Barada (#4) at home in the next round. Al Sahel will play against the league's second-placed Al Wahda (#2) in Damascus and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Ashrafiyat supposed to be also quite interesting. Top-ranked Al Wahda (2-0) played at the court of 6th ranked Al Ashrafiyat (1-3). Al Wahda did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 74-54 on Tuesday. Al Wahda moved-up to second place. Loser Al Ashrafiyat keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Al Wahda will meet at home bottom-ranked Al Sahel (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Ashrafiyat will play against Al Jalaa (#8) in Aleppo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
