D1 Round 9: Barada edge Al Wahda by three points

The most exciting game of round 9 in the D1 took place in Barada. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Al Wahda (3-2) to sixth ranked Barada (3-2) 59-56 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Wahda. Barada moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Al Wahda. Barada is looking forward to face Al Ashrafiyat (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Al Wahda will play against Al Sahel (#7) in Tartus and is hoping to win this game.

Undefeated Al Thawra (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Al Sahel lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. Al Thawra will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Sahel will play at home against Al Wahda (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.
