D1 Round 1: Al-Jalaa takes a leadership position - Feb 23, 2019

The Regular Season in D1 just started. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Al-Jalaa defeated Al-Wahda at home 75-68. Al-Wahda will play next round against Al-Ittihad trying to get back on the winning streak. Al-Jalaa will try to continue on its current victory against Al-Thawra at home.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al-Ittihad (0-1) at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by Al-Thawra (1-0) 67-30. Al-Thawra will play against Al-Jalaa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al-Ittihad will play against Al-Wahda (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game was also tough home loss of Al-Ashrafiah in a game versus undefeated Al-Sahel (#4) 46-43. Al-Ashrafiah was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Al-Sahel will meet Qasion (#4) in the next round. Al-Ashrafiah will play against Hutteen and hope to win that game.
The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Hutteen (0-1) played at the court of Qasion (1-0). Qasion smashed Hutteen 77-26. Qasion's next round opponent will be Al-Sahel and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hutteen will play against Al-Ashrafiah (#5) and hope to win that game.

Thawra celebrate League title - 2 months ago
Thawra - Wahda 60:54 Thawra clinched the Syrian League title. They swept the championship series versus Wahda. Thawra opened the Finals with a road win. They steamrolled Wahda 74:49 in the opener. Thawra completed the sweep in Game 2. They earned a tough 60:54 victory at home to clinch the title.   [read more]
Thawra and Wahda reach the Final - 2 months ago
Thawra and Wahda reached the Final as they beat their opponents in the semifinal clashes. Al-Thawra swept the series against Al-Jalaa 3-0. In the last game they posted a 72-52 win. Al-Wahda meanwhile edged Qasion 3-1. Al-Wahda posted an 81-77 final win to reach the Final. Al-Thawra will face Al-Wahda on April 23rd.   [read more]
Wahda and Thawra claim victories in semifinal series openers - 2 months ago
Wahda and Thawra opened their respective semifinal series with victories. Wahda upset Jalaa 80:65 on the road in Game 1. The second game is scheduled on April 6th. Wahda protected home court advantage in their series. They held off Qasion 59:56 in the opener. Game 2 is slated for April 7th.    [read more]
