JUSTIN HAWKINS

Al Gharafa Doha (D1) signed 32-year old naturalized Syrian international small forward Justin Hawkins (203-100kg-85, college: New Mexico State). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Hawkins just got released from Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabian SBL league and replaced by Gary Forbes. He also played for Champville in Lebanese LBL earlier that season where in 9 SBL games he had stats: 15.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.8spg this season before he got released and replaced by Dewarick Spencer then he moved to Saudi Arabia. he was named League Player of the Week one time in Lebanon.
Three years ago (seven years after graduated from college) Hawkins was drafted by Los Angeles D-Fenders (D-League) in second round (36th overall).
He attended New Mexico State until 2008 and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
Hawkins' team won Belarusian Cup in 2012. He naturalized to play with Syrian Senior National Team this year.
Hawkins is quite experienced player. He has played in six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Hawkins has played previously professionally in Finland (Kouvot and Loimaan Korikonkarit), France (SIG Strasbourg and Boulazac Basket), Iraq (Al Shurtah and Duhok), D-League (Springfield A.) and NBA G League (South Bay Lakers, Iowa Wolves and Maine Red Claws).
He could be described: Can play both wing positions and guard three positions defensively.

This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Al Hurriyeh (2-6) to sixth ranked Thawra (4-4) 69-66 in the game for the sixth place. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. Bottom-ranked Al Sahel is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to fifth ranked Al Karameh (4-3) 81-64 on Saturday evening.
