Al Jaish celebrate 2015/2016 League title - Apr 26, 2016

Al Jaish celebrated Syrian Basketball League 2015/2016 title after the team swept the Final series against Al-Karamah 3-0. In Game 1 Al Jaish won 77:62 and then added an 84-73 win. In the third game Al Jaish grabbed an 87-79 victory and the trophy of the League.
Earlier in the semifinals Al Jaish overcame Al-Ittihad twice in the series. Al-Karamah needed a decisive third game against Al-Wahda to beat them 51-50 and won the series 2-1.

Al Sharjah (D1) signed 31-year old Syrian international point guard William Alhaddad (185-87). He has played for the last five seasons at Al Jaish in Syrian Division I. Alhaddad won Syrian League championship title in 2016, 2017 and 2018. He also played at the WABA Club Championships this year. Alhaddad is a very experienced player. Banijas Abu Dhabi (D1) agreed terms with 28-year old Syrian ex-international power forward Azmi AbdAlNour (203-90). He is the second import player in the roster as USA Tre Nichols signed here earlier. The last time (13) he played at Al Wakrah in Qatari D1 league. Al Sharjah (D1) inked experienced 34-year old Syrian international center Muhia Kasaballi (208-84). The last time (8-18) he played at Al Jaish in Syrian Division I. Kasaballi has played there for the last eight years. Among other achievements he won Syrian League championship title in 2005 and 2016. Kasaballi also played at the WABA Club Championships this year.
