Philippines U18 - Syria U18 58:55
Philippines celebrated the first win at the U18 Asia Championship. They knocked down Syria to improve at 1-1 record. Syria slipped at 1-1 record in Level II standings. Marie Claire Aseron produced 15 points to lead Philippines.
Syria surged ahead early in the game but could not clear off substantially. They won the opening frame 17:16 and continued to mount pressure in the second frame. Syria stretched the gap to as many as 9 points midway through the second frame. Philippines stopped the onslaught and narrowed the deficit to a single point 30:31 at halftime. The third frame turned things upside down for Syria. They conceded a rally from Philippines and appeared trailing by 6 points at the final pause. Philippines took over in the fourth stanza, capitalized on numerous mistakes from Syria and ran away for the win at the end. Danica Jose provided 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Lore Rivera added 10 points and 19 rebounds for Philippines. Gasia Sarkis answered with 14 points and 12 rebounds for Syria. Marie von Hassoun had 13 points and 13 boards in the loss.

Thawra celebrate League title - 2 months ago
Thawra - Wahda 60:54 Thawra clinched the Syrian League title. They swept the championship series versus Wahda. Thawra opened the Finals with a road win. They steamrolled Wahda 74:49 in the opener. Thawra completed the sweep in Game 2. They earned a tough 60:54 victory at home to clinch the title.   [read more]
Thawra and Wahda reach the Final - 2 months ago
Thawra and Wahda reached the Final as they beat their opponents in the semifinal clashes. Al-Thawra swept the series against Al-Jalaa 3-0. In the last game they posted a 72-52 win. Al-Wahda meanwhile edged Qasion 3-1. Al-Wahda posted an 81-77 final win to reach the Final. Al-Thawra will face Al-Wahda on April 23rd.   [read more]
Wahda and Thawra claim victories in semifinal series openers - 2 months ago
Wahda and Thawra opened their respective semifinal series with victories. Wahda upset Jalaa 80:65 on the road in Game 1. The second game is scheduled on April 6th. Wahda protected home court advantage in their series. They held off Qasion 59:56 in the opener. Game 2 is slated for April 7th.    [read more]
