Sri Lanka U18-Kazakhstan U18 48:77
Kazakhstan tastes first success in Jonor Bahru. The team improved to 1-2 record in Group B of the U18 Asia Championship after a 77:48 win over Sri Lanka.
It was the game for the first victory for the both teams. Kazakhstan started with 21-14 and added 18-7 in the second frame. Daria Li (184-C-94) sent the teams to the lockers at 39:21 as she made a free throw. Moreover Kazakhstan dominated the second half as well. They won the third period 19-11 and increased to 26 points after 30 minutes. Another 19-16 in the last stanza allowed them to taste 77:48 win.
Anna Zlobina (169-G-95) paced all the winners with 16 points and Oxana Bagmet (170-G-96) added 14. Aigerim Otepbergen (188-C-95) collected 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Daria Li nailed 9. Chamodi Liyanaralalage (164-F-95) scored 17 points in the losing effort and Pooja Marasinghege (169-C-94) brought 11.
