Lebanon - Sri Lanka 96:54

Lebanon earned the second win at the Asian Championship. They coasted past Sri Lanka to improve at 2-1 record in Level II ladder. Sri Lanka in the meantime suffered the third straight loss at the tournament. Chantelle Anderson (199-C-81, college: Vanderbilt) came up with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to pace the Lebanese team.
The first term brought quite surprising result. Sri Lanka did not look underdogs in the battle as they matched any effort from their opponents. The teams traded baskets and the scoreboard read 20:20 after ten minutes. Lebanon needed an 8:0 run early in the second frame to escape to a 9-point distance. Lebanon then capped the half with 9 points in a row to earn an 18-point advantage. Lebanon exploded with 34 points in the third stanza and took over for good in this one. They entered the final frame ahead by 37 points and rolled to a comfortable win at the end.
Rebeca Akl had 16 points for Lebanon. Nisrin Dandan (172-G-77) added 11 points for the winners. Premila Beruwalage (81) responded with 16 points for Sri Lanka. Inoka JUWAN Pedige (82) finished with 11 points in the loss.
