Experienced American Jameel Warney (203-C-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Seoul SK Knights and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 31-year old center had a double-double of 38 points and 18 rebounds, while his team outclassed Suwon KT (#3, 1-1) with 40-point margin 104-64. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Knights maintains the 2nd position in South Korean KBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Seoul Knights won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Warney had a remarkable 73.9% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Knights, through which he has constantly improved. Stony Brook University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Warney is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.5ppg and leads league in rebounds with 15.5rpg. Warney is in league's top in assists (7th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 69.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Nathan Knight (208-F/C-1997) of Sono Skygunners. Knight impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Skygunners lost that game 72-80 to Mobis Phoebus (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Knight is a newcomer at Sono SG and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.5ppg (#3). He also registered 9.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Filipino Carl Tamayo (200-F-2001) of Changwon LG Sakers (#4). Tamayo scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Sakers, leading his team to a 82-79 win against Wonju DB (1-1). LG Sakers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Tamayo has a great season in South Korea. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (4th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
