Jarell Martin (ex Adelaide) signs at Sonicboom

Jarell Martin

Suwon KT Sonicboom (KBL) landed 30-year old American 208cm power forward Jarell Martin (college: LSU). He started the season at Adelaide in Australian NBL league. In 22 games he averaged 8.3ppg and 4.0rpg. The last season season he played at Galatasaray (BSL) in Turkish league. He also played 10 games in Turkish BSL where he had 8.8ppg and 5.8rpg.
In 2015 he was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in first round (25th overall). Martin graduated from Louisiana State University and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in seven different countries playing on four different continents. Martin is familiar with European, Asian, Australian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in China (Leopards), Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Turkey, NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic), NBA G League (RGV Vipers and Memphis Hustle) and NBA Summer League (Utah Jazz and Utah Jazz Blue).
Among many awards he won Israeli Premier League championship title in 2023. Martin was voted to Australiabasket.com Australian NBL All-Imports Team back in 2021.
