South Korean KBL round 31 best performance: Kevin Quiambao (by Hoops Agents)

Filipino Kevin Quiambao (193-SF-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sono Skygunners, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 31.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Wonju DB (#6, 16-20) 86-82. Skygunners maintains the 10th position in South Korean KBL. Sono SG is bottom ranked team in the standings. They need more victories to leave last spot and improve bad 11-24 record. In the team's last game Quiambao had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 14 attempts. He turned to be Skygunners's top player in his first season with the team. Kevin Quiambao averages this season 18.5ppg and 6.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jameel Warney (203-C-1994) of league's leader Seoul SK Knights. Warney had a very good evening with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Knights to edge the lower-ranked KoGas (#5, 19-16) 80-75. Of course Seoul Knights still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just seven games this season, while they won 28 matches. Warney is one of the most experienced players at Seoul Knights and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.5ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 12.5rpg and 4.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Jun-yong Choi of KCC Egis (#7). Choi showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Choi's great performance the Egis lost 84-95 to the higher-ranked Suwon KT (#4, 20-15). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of KCC Egis ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 19 games, recording just fifteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Choi could help KCC Egis to bring them higher in the standings. Choi has a very solid season. In 13 games in South Korea he scored 15.2ppg. He also has 7.3rpg, 4.3apg and 1.6bpg.
