American Center Jameel Warney (203-C-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Seoul SK Knights, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat LG Sakers (#5, 3-2) 72-66. Knights is placed at 2nd position in South Korean KBL. They are still close to the very top. Seoul Knights would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. Warney has many years of experience at Knights, through which he has constantly improved. Former Stony Brook University star has very solid stats this year. Warney is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.6ppg. Warney is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 11.4rpg), assists (9th best: 4.4apg) and averages impressive 52.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Jamaican Kofi Cockburn (213-C-1999) of Seoul Samsung Thunders. Cockburn had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Samsung Thunders was edged by the higher-ranked KCC Egis (#7, 3-4) 77-73. Seoul Thunders are still at the very bottom. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Samsung Thunders managed to get this year. Cockburn is well-known at Seoul Thunders and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.1ppg (#2). He also registered 11.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Canadian forward Andrew Nicholson (206-PF-1989) of league's top team Korea Gas Corporation. Nicholson scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of KoGas, leading his team to a 80-58 easy win against the lower-ranked KCC Egis (#7, 3-4). KoGas confirms their top position in the standings. Nicholson has a great season in South Korea. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (7th best).
