Kofi Cockburn
24-year old Jamaican center Kofi Cockburn (213-C-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for Seoul Samsung Thunders and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 35. He had a double-double of 30 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Mobis Phoebus (#5, 24-21) 92-77. Samsung Thunders maintains the 10th position in South Korean league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 33 games and recorded just eleven victories. Cockburn turned to be Samsung Thunders' top player in his first season with the team. University of Illinois graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cockburn is in league's top in points (3rd best: 23.3ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.1rpg) and averages solid 57.1% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Gaige Prim (203-F-1999) of Hyundai Mobis Phoebus. He is American forward in his second season at Mobis Phoebus. In the last game Prim recorded an impressive double-double of 34 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Mobis Phoebus lost that game 73-83 to the lower-ranked Sono SG (#8, 14-31). Mobis Phoebus managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 24-21 record is not bad and everything may still change. Prim is well-known at Mobis Phoebus and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#7). He also registered 7.6 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Paris Bass (207-F/C-1995) of league's second-best Suwon KT Sonicboom. Bass got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for sixteen rebounds and four assists. Despite Bass' great performance the Sonicboom lost 94-101 to the lower-ranked KCC Egis (#6, 22-21). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Suwon KT needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 29 victories and 15 lost games. Bass has a great season in South Korea. After 44 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.3ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 10.7rpg (5th best) and assists with 4.6apg (5th best).
