Suwon KT Sonicboom (KBL) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old Nigerian ex-international center Micheal Eric (211cm-109kg-1988, college: Temple) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Eric played last season at Turk Telekom in Turkish BSL league. In three games he had 11.3ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.0apg. He also played 12 games in Eurocup where he recorded 3.1ppg and 2.8rpg.
Eric has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. He was a member of Nigerian Senior National Team between 2019 and 2020.
Eric is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece (AEK Athens and Panelefsiniakos), Italy (Brindisi), Russia (PBC CSKA Moscow), Spain (Baskonia, Unicaja and Bilbao), NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks) and NBA G League (Texas Legends and Cleveland Charge). His team won Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2009 and 2010.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to USBasket.com D-League All-Defensive Team back in 2016.
Eric graduated from Temple University in 2012 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
