Herbalife Gran Canaria (Liga Endesa) agreed terms with 32-year old American power forward Earl Clark (208-100kg-88, college: Louisville, agency: BeoBasket). He already started the season at Anyang KGC in South Korean KBL league. In 21 games he had 14.2ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.9apg, 1.1spg and 1.7bpg this season. The last season Clark played at Burgos in Spanish Liga Endesa where in 23 games he recorded 12.2ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0bpg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week (2 times). Clark also played 18 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 13.0ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.4apg and 1.0bpg.
In 2009 Clark was drafted by Phoenix Suns (NBA) in first round (14th overall). The former University of Louisville star is in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Clark has played in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in China (Guangsha Lions and Henan), Montenegro (Buducnost), Turkey (Besiktas), NBA (Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies) and NBA G League (Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Delaware Blue Coats).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of Adriatic League in 2019. Clark was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Honorable Mention in 2019.
Clark could be described: (by Borko Popic for NBADraft.net in 2009)
Versatile combo forward A mismatch offensively because he can attack effectively inside and out Has a great combination of size, strength and speed His athleticism and explosiveness allow him to play against bigger defenders inside or quicker ones on the perimeter Possesses a surprisingly quick first step thanks to his extremely long and powerful strides.
Was able to get away with a lot at the college level because he was such a superior athlete
