SK Knights keep Warney for another season

Defending champion Seoul SK Knights (KBL) re-signed 26-year old American center Jameel Warney (203-116kg-94, college: Stony Brook). He was a team leader there last season. In 43 KBL games he was league's third best scorer with impressive 20.4ppg and had 10.4rpg (#3 in the league), 3.1apg and 1.1spg. Good season as he was selected League Player of the Week (9 times).
The most of previous (2018-19) season Warney spent at Knicks in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 26 games he recorded very remarkable stats: 20.0ppg, 8.1rpg, 3.1apg and 1.0bpg. Warney also played for Legends in U.S. NBA-G-League. In 22 games he averaged 13.7ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.7apg and 1.6spg. Warney was a member of USA Senior National Team between 2017 and 2018.
He has played previously professionally in China (Anhui Wenyi) and NBA (Dallas Mavericks). he received alsoAsia-Basket.com All-Korean KBL Player of the Year award in 2020.
Warney's college team won AEC Tournament in 2016.
Warney attended Stony Brook University until 2016 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
