EUGENE PHELPS

28-year old forward Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Samsung Th. and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 38.
He had a double-double of 34 points and 19 rebounds, while his team lost the game against DB Promy (#7, 23-27) 89-96. Samsung Th. maintains the 10th position in South Korean league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 39 games and recorded just eleven victories. In the team's last game Phelps had a remarkable 68.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Samsung Th.'s top player in his first season with the team. Eugene Phelps averages this season 25.9ppg and 13.4rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Brandon Brown (201-PF-85) of KCC Egis. He is American forward in his first season at KCC Egis. In the last game Brown recorded impressive double-double of 36 points and 15 rebounds. Of course KCC Egis cruised to a 86-77 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Goyang Orions (#6, 24-26). KCC Egis' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 26-24 record is not bad and everything may still change. Brown is a newcomer at KCC Egis and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. Former Cal State - San Bernardino star Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of league's leader Mobis Phoebus. Ratliffe scored 28 points and grabbed twenty rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Mobis Phoebus, leading his team to a 90-79 win against #3 ranked KT Sonicboom in a game of the week. Mobis Phoebus confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 39 victories and 11 lost games. Ratliffe has a very solid season. In 46 games in South Korea he scored 24.4ppg. He also has 14.4rpg, 1.6bpg and FGP: 62.9%. Ricardo Ratliffe has also South Korean passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
