The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Eighth-ranked Anyang KGC (21-28) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked KCC Egis (26-24) in Jeonju on Thursday. KCC Egis managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected easier game. KCC Egis shot 21 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Anyang KGC only scored five points from the stripe. American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) saved the victory by scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-87) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for Anyang KGC. Anyang KGC's coach Seung-Ki Kim tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. KCC Egis have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 26-24 record. Anyang KGC lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 28 games lost. KCC Egis are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Samsung Thunders (#10) in Seoul in the next round where they are favorite. Anyang KGC will play on the road against KT Sonicboom in Busan and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
An interesting game for KT Sonicboom (26-23) which hosted in Busan second-ranked ET Land Elephants (35-15). Third ranked KT Sonicboom had an easy win 82-66. The former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-97) scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Hoon Heo chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. International forward Hyo-Geun Jeong (200-93) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KT Sonicboom have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 26-23 record having fourteen points less than leader Mobis Phoebus, which they share with LG Sakers. ET Land Elephants at the other side keep the second place with 15 games lost. KT Sonicboom will play against LG Sakers (#4) in Changwon in the next round. ET Land Elephants will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Mobis Phoebus (39-11) which hosted in Ulsan 3rd ranked KT Sonicboom (26-23). First ranked Mobis Phoebus managed to get a 11-point victory 90-79. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of KT Sonicboom. Ricardo Ratliffe notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 20 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by Marcus Landry did not help to save the game for KT Sonicboom. KT Sonicboom's coach Dong-Chul Seo let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mobis Phoebus have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 39-11 record. Loser KT Sonicboom keeps the third place with 23 games lost. They share the position with LG Sakers. Mobis Phoebus will meet at home SK Knights (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KT Sonicboom will play against LG Sakers (#4) in Changwon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between LG Sakers (26-23) and SK Knights (17-32), which took place in Seoul. Higher ranked LG Sakers lost to ninth ranked SK Knights in a road game 83-90 on Friday. Aaron Haynes orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains ninth position with 17-32 record. Loser LG Sakers dropped to the third place with 23 games lost. SK Knights will face league's leader Mobis Phoebus in Ulsan in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. LG Sakers will play at home against KT Sonicboom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 38 Anyang KGC were beaten by ET Land on the road 81-77. DB Promy won against Samsung Th. on its own court 96-89.



Goyang Orions - KCC Egis 77-86

The game in Daegu was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked KCC Egis (26-24) played at the court of 6th ranked Goyang Orions (24-26). KCC Egis managed to secure a 9-point victory 86-77. 27 personal fouls committed by Goyang Orions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. The former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-87) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Nigerian-American point guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Goyang Orions' coach Il-Seung Choo gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. KCC Egis have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 26-24 record. Goyang Orions at the other side keep the sixth place with 26 games lost. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The other American import power forward Charles Rhodes (203-85, college: Mississippi St.) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Justin Edwards (190-92, college: Kansas St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the former international forward Hee-Jong Yang (194-84) added 22 points in the effort for Anyang KGC.
