Central African-American Power forward James Mays (205-F/C-86) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for LG Sakers, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 33.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 24 rebounds, while his team crushed Anyang KGC (#8, 19-25) with 24-point margin 102-78. LG Sakers maintains the 4th position in South Korean KBL. LG Sakers is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 23-20 record. Mays turned to be LG Sakers' top player in his first season with the team. Former Clemson University star has very solid stats this year. Mays is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.5ppg. Mays is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 14.3rpg) and averages impressive 54.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 32-year old American Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of DB Promy. Williams had a very good evening with a double-double of 38 points and 18 rebounds. It was enough for DB Promy to edge the lower-ranked SK Knights (#9, 15-28) 89-84. DB Promy's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 22-22 record is not bad and everything may still change. Williams is a newcomer at DB Promy, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of Samsung Th. (#10). Phelps got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds and four assists. Despite Phelps' great performance Samsung Th. lost 78-86 to slightly higher-ranked Anyang KGC (#8, 19-25). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Samsung Th. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 10-34 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Phelps he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Phelps has individually a great season in South Korea. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.2ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 13.8rpg (4th best). He also has 1.3bpg and FGP: 51.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of SK Knights - 30 points, 19 rebounds and 9 assists
5. Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of Mobis Phoebus - 28 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Brandon Brown (201-PF-85) of KCC Egis - 23 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Charles Rhodes (203-F/C-85) of ET Land - 32 points and 11 rebounds
8. Shannon Shorter (193-G-89) of Mobis Phoebus - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Ung Heo (183-G-93) of DB Promy - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Seong-Gon Moon (193-F-93) of Anyang KGC - 22 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
