RICARDO RATLIFFE

Naturalized American Forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Mobis Phoebus, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 39 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed KT Sonicboom (#3, 20-15) with 17-point margin 83-66. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Mobis Phoebus to consolidate first place in the South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mobis Phoebus has a very solid 28-8 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Ratliffe had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Mobis Phoebus' top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Missouri star has very solid stats this year. Ratliffe is in league's top in points (5th best: 23.9ppg) and averages impressive 1.8bpg and 62.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old American Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of Samsung Th.. Phelps had a very good evening with a double-double of 35 points and 22 rebounds. Bad luck as Samsung Th. lost that game 84-91 to the higher-ranked KCC Egis (#5, 18-18). Samsung Th. are still at the very bottom. 26 lost games are too many comparing to just ten victories Samsung Th. managed to get this year. Phelps is a newcomer at Samsung Th., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.5ppg (#1). He also registered 13.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of SK Knights (#9). Haynes showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. Despite Haynes' great performance SK Knights lost 76-86 to the higher-ranked LG Sakers (#4, 18-18). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of SK Knights not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 25 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Haynes could try to bring SK Knights' a little bit higher in the standings. Haynes has individually a great season in South Korea. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.5rpg (8th best) and assists with 5.1apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Brandon Brown (201-PF-85) of KCC Egis - 26 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of DB Promy - 18 points and 20 rebounds
6. James Mays (205-F/C-86) of LG Sakers - 26 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Darryl Monroe (201-C/F-86) of Goyang Orions - 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists
8. Charles Rhodes (203-F/C-85) of ET Land - 24 points and 15 rebounds
9. Jung-Hyun Lee (191-F-87) of KCC Egis - 26 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Jin-Soo Choi (202-C/F-89) of Goyang Orions - 29 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
