Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 22 in the KBL took place in Daegu. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Anyang KGC (15-15) to eighth ranked Goyang Orions (13-18) 83-81 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Anyang KGC. It was a great shooting night for Goyang Orions especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Forward Do-Soo Kim (193-81) fired 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jung-Kyu Chun (188-83) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Canadian guard Justin Edwards (190-92, college: Kansas St.) produced 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Goyang Orions maintains eighth position with 13-18 record. Anyang KGC at the other side keeps the fourth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with KCC Egis. Goyang Orions are looking forward to face higher ranked KT Sonicboom (#3) in Busan in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Anyang KGC will play at home against LG Sakers and is hoping to win this game.
Leader Mobis Phoebus delivered the twenty fourth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked DB Promy (14-15) 76-70 in Ulsan. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. Shannon Shorter contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Marcus Foster (190-95, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for DB Promy. DB Promy's coach Sang-Bum Lee rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mobis Phoebus maintains first position with 24-6 record. DB Promy at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 15 games lost. Mobis Phoebus will play against league's second-placed ET Land Elephants in Inchon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. DB Promy will play on the road against KCC Egis (#4) in Jeonju and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Brandon Brown had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side James Mays responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KCC Egis have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Anyang KGC. LG Sakers lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 16 games lost. KCC Egis will meet at home DB Promy (#6) in the next round. LG Sakers will play against Anyang KGC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 22 Anyang KGC defeated Samsung Th. in a road game 94-85. SK Knights was beaten by ET Land at home 59-66.



Samsung Th. - Anyang KGC 85-94

There was no surprise in Seoul where 10th ranked Samsung Thunders (7-23) were defeated by fourth ranked Anyang KGC (15-15) 94-85 on Wednesday. Anyang KGC shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-87) chipped in 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Anyang KGC's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 19 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 blocks and guard Gi-Beom Cheon (187-94) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Anyang KGC maintains fourth position with 15-15 record, which they share with KCC Egis. Samsung Thunders lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Anyang KGC will meet at home LG Sakers (#7) in the next round. Samsung Thunders will play against DB Promy in Wonju and hope to secure a win.

No shocking result in a game in Seoul where third ranked ET Land Elephants (19-11) defeated 9th ranked SK Knights (10-20) 66-59 on Thursday. ET Land Elephants made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American power forward Charles Rhodes (203-85, college: Mississippi St.) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Giddy Potts (188-95, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international forward Youngjun An (195-95) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-90, college: Murray St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ET Land Elephants have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. SK Knights lost fifth consecutive game. Defending champion keep the ninth position with 20 games lost. ET Land Elephants will meet league's leader Mobis Phoebus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SK Knights will play against KT Sonicboom (#3) and hope to secure a win.

KCC Egis dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to LG Sakers' 38. They outrebounded LG Sakers 44-24 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for KCC Egis especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Marquis Teague (188-93, college: Kentucky) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five KCC Egis players scored in double figures. At the losing side Central African-American power forward James Mays (205-86, college: Clemson) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-89) scored 18 points.
