BRANDON BROWN

American Power forward Brandon Brown (201-PF-85) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for KCC Egis, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Mobis Phoebus (#1, 22-4) with 17-point margin 93-76. Thanks to this victory KCC Egis moved-up to the 7th position in South Korean KBL. KCC Egis is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-13 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be KCC Egis' top player in his first season with the team. Former Cal State - San Bernardino star has very solid stats this year. Brown is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.9ppg), rebounds (5th best: 13.3rpg) and averages impressive 2.5spg and 58.9% FGP. Worth to mention Brown played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was 32-year old American Darryl Monroe (201-C/F-86) of Goyang Orions. Monroe had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Goyang Orions lost that game 88-98 to slightly lower-ranked Samsung Th. (#10, 6-19). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Goyang Orions keeps 9th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-16 record. Monroe is a newcomer at Goyang Orions, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.9ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 11.4rpg and 4.9apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Murphy Holloway (201-F-90) of ET Land (#3). Holloway scored 21 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Holloway's great performance ET Land lost 80-81 to the lower-ranked DB Promy (#6, 12-14). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing ET Land needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 15 victories and 11 lost games. Holloway has a great season in South Korea. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.1rpg (6th best). He also has 1.9bpg and FGP: 58.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of DB Promy - 16 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Shannon Shorter (193-G-89) of Mobis Phoebus - 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Nate Miller (193-G-87) of Samsung Th. - 24 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of Mobis Phoebus - 21 points and 17 rebounds
8. Jong-Kyu Kim (207-C-91) of LG Sakers - 15 points and 10 rebounds
9. Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of Samsung Th. - 18 points and 13 rebounds
10. Gwan-Hee Lee (190-G-88) of Samsung Th. - 29 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
