Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 16 in the KBL took place in Changwon. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked ET Land Elephants (14-9) to fourth ranked LG Sakers (12-10) 86-84 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ET Land Elephants. LG Sakers made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Strangely ET Land Elephants outrebounded LG Sakers 50-38 including 36 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by ET Land Elephants helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Joshia Gray (185-93, college: LSU) fired 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Central African-American power forward James Mays (205-86, college: Clemson) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. LG Sakers' coach Young-Min Kim used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Mississippi) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds for lost side. LG Sakers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 12-10 record. ET Land Elephants at the other side keep the second place with nine games lost. LG Sakers are looking forward to face DB Promy (#7) in Wonju in the next round. ET Land Elephants will play at home against KCC Egis (#6) and are hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked KT Sonicboom (13-9) against sixth ranked KCC Egis (10-11) on Saturday night. Visiting KT Sonicboom was crushed by KCC Egis in Jeonju 88-69. Worth to mention a great performance of American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds. Marquis Teague contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds for KT Sonicboom. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KCC Egis maintains sixth position with 10-11 record. KT Sonicboom lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third place with nine games lost. KCC Egis will play against league's second-placed ET Land Elephants in Inchon in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KT Sonicboom will play at home against Goyang Orions and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Rest of the games of round 16 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

Goyang Orions - Mobis Phoebus 66-80

Leader Mobis Phoebus delivered the nineteenth victory on Thursday night. This time they beat 9th ranked Goyang Orions (9-14) 80-66 in Daegu. Mobis Phoebus had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) who added 18 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and the former international power forward Jin-Soo Choi (202-89, college: Maryland) scored 13 points. Mobis Phoebus (19-3) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Loser Goyang Orions keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. There was no surprise in Busan where 10th ranked Samsung Thunders (5-18) were defeated by third ranked KT Sonicboom (13-9) 99-94. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. KT Sonicboom outrebounded Samsung Thunders 47-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and center Min-Wook Kim (203-90) supported him with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even a double-double of 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks by American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) did not help to save the game for Samsung Thunders. Guard Gwan-Hee Lee (190-88) added 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Five KT Sonicboom and four Samsung Thunders players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KT Sonicboom maintains third position with 13-9 record having six points less than leader Mobis Phoebus. They also forced 20 DB Promy turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) who scored that evening 16 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Seung-Ho Ki (194-85) supported him with 15 points and 5 steals. Four Anyang KGC players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds by American guard Marcus Foster (190-95, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for DB Promy. His fellow American import power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) added 9 points and 14 rebounds for lost side.
