BRANDON BROWN

33-year old power forward Brandon Brown (201-PF-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for KCC Egis and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had the game-high 35 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for KCC Egis in his team's victory, helping them to beat DB Promy (#8, 5-11) 89-79. KCC Egis maintains the 7th position in South Korean league. KCC Egis is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-8 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be KCC Egis' top player in his first season with the team. Cal State - San Bernardino graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is in league's top in points (6th best: 23.6ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 13.0rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg,2.5spg and 59.3% FGP. Worth to mention Brown played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of DB Promy. He is American in his first season at DB Promy. In the last game Williams recorded impressive double-double of 31 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as DB Promy was edged by the higher-ranked KT Sonicboom (#4, 9-6) 97-95. DB Promy is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-11 record. Williams is a newcomer at DB Promy and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of Samsung Th. (#10). Phelps scored 28 points and grabbed twenty two rebounds (!!!). Despite Phelps' great performance Samsung Th. lost 58-79 to the higher-ranked ET Land (#5, 9-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Samsung Th. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 4-11 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Phelps he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Phelps has a very solid season. In 2 games in South Korea he scored 24.5ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. James Mays (205-F/C-86) of LG Sakers - 34 points, 17 rebounds and 2 assists
5. David Logan (182-G-82) of KT Sonicboom - 33 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists
6. Ho-Young Yoon (198-F-84) of DB Promy - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Murphy Holloway (201-F-90) of ET Land - 22 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Randy Culpepper (183-PG-89) of Anyang KGC - 34 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of SK Knights - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Il-Young Heo (197-F-85) of Goyang Orions - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
