RICARDO RATLIFFE

Naturalized American Forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Mobis Phoebus and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 29-year old forward had a double-double of 23 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team beat SK Knights (#5, 8-6) 93-78. It allowed Mobis Phoebus to consolidate first place in the South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mobis Phoebus has a very solid 11-3 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Ratliffe turned to be Mobis Phoebus' top player in his first season with the team. University of Missouri graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ratliffe is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.5ppg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 67.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 32-year old Central African power forward James Mays (205-F/C-86) of LG Sakers. Mays impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as LG Sakers lost that game 88-93 to slightly higher-ranked Anyang KGC (#2, 9-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. LG Sakers still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 8-6 record is not bad at all. Mays is a newcomer at LG Sakers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.9ppg (#1). He also registered 13.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Brandon Brown (201-PF-85) of KCC Egis (#7). Brown scored 25 points and grabbed nineteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Brown's great performance KCC Egis lost 73-75 to the higher-ranked ET Land (#4, 8-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of KCC Egis ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Brown could help KCC Egis to bring them higher in the standings. Brown has a great season in South Korea. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.8ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 13.3rpg (3rd best). He also has 2.5spg and FGP: 57.9%. Brown attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Randy Culpepper (183-PG-89) of Anyang KGC - 42 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of DB Promy - 19 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Marcus Foster (190-G-95) of DB Promy - 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Jong-Hyun Lee (206-C-94) of Mobis Phoebus - 14 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Shannon Shorter (193-G-89) of Mobis Phoebus - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
9. David Logan (182-G-82) of KT Sonicboom - 34 points and 5 rebounds
10. Bukyung Choi (200-F-89) of SK Knights - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
