It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in KBL, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 7 in the KBL took place in Ulsan. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed LG Sakers (5-4) to first ranked Mobis Phoebus (8-1) 77-75 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of LG Sakers. The former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) chipped in 20 points. Central African-American power forward James Mays (205-86, college: Clemson) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mobis Phoebus have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. LG Sakers at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Anyang KGC. Mobis Phoebus are looking forward to face Samsung Thunders (#8) in Seoul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LG Sakers will play at home against Goyang Orions and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Important game to mention about took place in Busan. Second ranked Sonic Boom KT (6-4) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 9th ranked DB Promy (3-7) 105-102 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. David Logan contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Marcus Foster (190-95, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 42 points (!!!) and 9 assists for DB Promy. DB Promy's coach Sang-Bum Lee tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sonic Boom KT have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 6-4 record having just one point less than leader Mobis Phoebus, which they share with ET Land and SK Knights. DB Promy lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. Sonic Boom KT will play against Anyang KGC (#6) on the road in the next round. DB Promy will play against the league's second-placed ET Land Elephants in Inchon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Seoul between SK Knights and Samsung Thunders. Sixth ranked SK Knights (6-4) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Samsung Thunders (3-6). SK Knights managed to escape with a 2-point win 59-57 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for Leon Williams who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side Gwan-Hee Lee responded with 25 points and 4 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with ET Land and Sonic Boom KT. Loser Samsung Thunders keep the eighth position with six games lost. SK Knights will meet at home league's second-placed ET Land Elephants in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Samsung Thunders will play against the league's leader Mobis Phoebus (#1) and hope to secure a win.

ET Land Elephants' next round opponent will be DB Promy (#9) in Wonju and are hoping to win another game. Sonic Boom KT will play on the road against Anyang KGC (#6) and hope to win that game.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Inchon. Local ET Land Elephants (6-4) outscored 10th ranked Goyang Orions (2-8) 79-57 on Friday night. Will Daniels fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ET Land Elephants moved-up to second place, which they share with SK Knights and Sonic Boom KT. Goyang Orions lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. ET Land Elephants will face DB Promy (#9) in Wonju in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Goyang Orions will play on the road against LG Sakers in Changwon and hope to win that game.

Other games of round 7 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
DB Promy defeated Goyang Orions in Wonju 89-74. SK Knights beat KCC Egis at home 76-72. KCC Egis lost to Anyang KGC on the opponent's court 91-96.



Sonic Boom KT - DB Promy 105-102

ET Land Elephants dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Sonic Boom KT's 56. ET Land Elephants players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Giddy Potts (188-95, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led the winners and scored 29 points. The former international guard Chan-Hee Park (190-87) accounted for 15 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side. SK Knights managed to escape with a 2-point win 59-57 on Saturday evening. SK Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Samsung Thunders' 24. They outrebounded Samsung Thunders 48-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. International guard Sunhyung Kim (187-88) helped adding 16 points. At the losing side guard Gwan-Hee Lee (190-88) responded with 25 points and 4 steals and Cameroonian forward Benoit Mbala (203-95) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with ET Land and Sonic Boom KT. Everything could happen in Daegu at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked DB Promy and 10th ranked Goyang Orions had identical 2-7 record. But Goyang Orions were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Wonju 89-74 on Sunday night. DB Promy dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Goyang Orions' 34. Goyang Orions were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Justin Tillman (203-96, college: VCU) fired a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. His fellow American import guard Marcus Foster (190-95, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists.
